Somna Kumar – Investment Principal
Prior to joining ORB Capital, Somna was a non-executive director of Seraphine Ltd, a UK-based high end maternity designer and retailer, where she was successful in raising second stage capital from a number of UK institutions, private equity firms, and family offices for the company’s European rollout and online e-commerce expansion. Her previous work experience includes Morgan Stanley (London) as an Equity Research Analyst specialising in the Luxury Goods sector and with JP Morgan (New York), where she focused on middle market Consumer Retail transactions as well as early-stage investments in a variety of industry sectors.
Somna holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from UNSW and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
Justin Michaels – Investment Analyst
Justin has worked with the founders of ORB Capital since 2005. He was previously employed by Fidelity Investments (Boston) as an Analyst within the Mutual Funds Audit Team, where he focused on the financial services sector. Justin has also worked for Global Valve Technology (non-return flow-valve technology company) as a Business Analyst.
Justin holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the School of Management at Boston University, where he graduated at the top of his class.
